Tu Casa Latina Announces Organizational Dissolution
Reno, NV — The Board of Directors of Tu Casa Latina (TCL) announces the organization will formally dissolve as an independent nonprofit following careful evaluation of long-term sustainability and community needs. Since 2014, TCL has provided culturally rooted, trauma-informed advocacy to immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, supporting hundreds of individuals and families across Northern Nevada. Clients will have the opportunity to continue receiving services through the Domestic Violence Rural Immigrant Integration Project at Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevada (VARN). This transition is not a merger or continuation of TCL but ensures ongoing access to comparable support. Executive Director Sandra Quiroz will assume a leadership role within VARN’s project, helping maintain continuity of care and trusted community relationships. The Board expresses deep gratitude to all who contributed to TCL’s legacy and remains confident that immigrant communities will continue to be supported through VARN.
